In 4 Training offers the UETDRMP018 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel. This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform a rescue from live low voltage (LV) electrical apparatus in an electrical industry environment. This does not include overhead lines and underground cables.
It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of live LV panel rescue equipment, and how it applies to electricity supply industry (ESI) workers and/or electrical industry workers to meet work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

Electrical workers should be aware that it is mandatory for electrical workers to be competent in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with section 28 of the Electricity (General) Regulations 2013.
This regulation prescribes that “persons required to carry out, or help carry out, electrical work must be suitably trained in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with recognised practices within the electricity industry”.
Low voltage (with CPR) satisfies the requirements of Electrical Regulation 2013 Schedule 9 “Safety Observer” as well as meeting the requirements of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General Electrical licence application or renewal.

Industry standards for refresher training vary from industry to industry.
- To remain compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and industry standards, the certification must be refreshed every 12 months.
- Some coal mines and ESI still require refreshers every 6 months
Provide CPR HLTAID009 is only valid for 12 months.
